How Durable Are Vinyl Banners?

Vinyl banners are a highly effective marketing tool that can help promote your brand, product, event or business to a wide audience. They are durable and can withstand the elements, making them perfect for outdoor advertising. They can be printed with either one or two sides and can be customized to fit your needs.

The material used in banners varies, but most are made of a combination of a’scrim’ polyester mesh and vinyl. The strength of a banner depends on the density of the polyester mesh fibers, measured in units called deniers. A high denier mesh means a strong scrim, while a low denier mesh may be less durable. Whether or not a banner is reversible is also an important factor. Banners with monomeric plasticizer tend to crack or break more easily than those with polymeric plasticizers.

Depending on the material used in the banner, and the weather conditions it is exposed to, it can last for up to 5 years or more. The lifespan of a banner can be extended by carefully handling and storing it. Avoid creasing or folding it, and store it in a dry place, to help preserve its quality.

Some types of vinyl are treated with UV inhibitors, to help reduce the rate at which the colors in the banner fade. However, this is not always enough to prevent the colors from fading completely. A reversible banner will still fade, but at a much slower rate than a non-reversible banner. vinyl banners
